:"Baba Cloanța" is a character from Romanian folklore, often depicted as an old woman with magical powers. She is sometimes portrayed as a witch or a sorceress, known for her knowledge of herbal remedies, spells, and charms. In folklore, she is often called upon for assistance with various problems, but she can also be mischievous or unpredictable, embodying both wisdom and mystery.
Why did you choose to sculpt this piece?
As kids our parents would always scare us with stories about this old witch, so I figured it was a good choice to bring life to the old scary childhood stories
How long have you been sculpting? What is your artistic background and style?
I've been sculpting for about 2 years now, I've been involved in art from a young age and have always had a thing for the darker stuff, creepy, unease inducing pieces. My art style is usually realism.
How long did it take to create the piece? What tools / software did you use for your creation? Any insight on your process?
I worked on this piece for about 2 weeks, it was sculpted in Nomad Sculpt for iPad, optimised for texturing in Zbrush, textured in Substance, and all brought together in Blender for rendering.
Is this piece for sale? How can a fan acquire it?
Not as of yet, but contacting me through my socials is the best way to buy the piece
Are you looking for work? If so, in what role & location?
Not actively, but I would love to find a job as a character/creature artist, remote would be super cool, but if need be I would consider relocating.
