Canaimé is a mythical figure present in the culture of several indigenous tribes in the Roraima region, in northern Brazil. According to popular belief, he is responsible for bringing sadness and illness
to those who are reprehensible, acting mainly against those who disrespect nature or the community. Despite being a feared figure, Canaimé is also seen as a kind of protector by the tribes who believe in his existence
Some legends say that it is capable of warding off evil spirits and protecting community members from physical and spiritual dangers.
The figure of Canaimé is so important to some tribes that there are specific rituals to evoke him and ask for his help.
This is a creature that we hardly see many artistic representations about because it is a slightly more regional legend, so I decided to give my interpretation of this legend
